Love the scarlet of indian paintbrush contrasted with the beautiful blue and greens of the mountains, scrub oak and willows in this secluded spot near Fairplay, Colorado.  
The reds and yellows sparkling in the sunshine fill my heart with joy!

Colorado's summer wildflowers always inspire me to paint - I love the fresh colors, and the fleeting blooms underneath the aspen trunks.  This scene is in the high mountains, just north of Crested Butte, Colorado.

I know it's really spring when the lilacs are blooming!  I want to fill my arms with 
the scented boughs, and revel in their delightful fragrance.

this painting has black painted sides, for a dramatic contrast to the painting.  Palette knife technique adds rich texture to the subtle colors of the paint.  This painting would be lovely on a shelf, as well as on the wall - a reminder to keep spring in your heart all year long!
